IF Zahau committed suicide I don't believe it was over the death of the child. Firstly at the time of her alleged suicide the child was still alive, critical but alive; therefore, why kill yourself over an unknown outcome.

Secondly IF she did commit suicide the staging of the crime scene shows thought was put into the act, not something someone came up with in two days. DEEP Thought was given to the binding of the hands and feet, the tying of the rope around the bed foot, the black paint: it's writing and meaning. The act of suicide looks to me like alot of preparation went into it. IF self-inflicted this was something she would have been contemplating for a while.

Thirdly IF she committed suicide I don't for a minute think it had anything to do with the step-son. A grief stricken person I don't believe would choose a manner of death that was so humiliating. She strips naked, binds her hands and feet, and chooses to jump off a balcony, and hang herself for passersby to watch and see her death and humiliation. I mean why not hang herself in the same manner, but indoors, why make it a public display. Personally the manner of death does not feel like an act of grief, but rather SHAME.

Finally the note "she saved him, can he save her". Again this seems like something completely unrelated to bereavement, but something else. I don't believe her and Jonah Shacknai were all they appear to be. Either he was up to something she found out about, or she was up to something she later regretted. I don't know if it was a suicide or not, but I am positive it had nothing to do with the 12 year old step-son that died AFTER her.

I would be very interested in her internet & phone records for the last 6 months.

The San Diego PD has already stated they have no evidence of homicide, which means they have no leads to follow and thus, probably are not too optimistic of their chances of solving the "homicide." Solution? Call it a suicide. LIkely, to them it's better than having an unsolved murder on their record. I'm sure they just want it to go away. Thank you, Dr. Drew, for your continued questioning of the case.

Jennifer Harrington: you mean you believe everything the SD police department tells you?

Someone knew how to tie specific types of intricate knots to bind Rebecca, whether it was her, (which I don't believe it was), or someone else. Who knows how to tie these knots? Well, sailors, not just military but people who sail boats for pleasure, etc. People in the military know how to tie knots. Possibly law enforcement. Boy scouts know how (don't laugh, it could be a grown man who was a scout as a boy). Deckhands or anyone working in the maritime industry would know how to tie knots. You get the picture. When law enforcement did their investigation of the players or people who had contact with her, I wonder if they took this into consideration? Just a thought. . .

I think the Attorney General can get into this case. I had heard early on that the mother of Max had told Rebecca she wasn't welcome to see Max at hospital. I also heard early on that Rebecca had a female visitor the night she died. The brother in-law is a "TUG BOAT OPERATOR" HELLO! There may have been more than one one person assisting rebecca that evening. This is a tragic, frustating case; I personally see someone or someones getting away with murder!

Don't let this rest Dr. Drew!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am a nurse. There is no way in hell that you are EVER going to convice me this was a suicide!!!!!!! EVER!! SDPD has egg all over their faces and they don't know what to do about it. My faith in PD is going down the toilet. I just recently watched an incident in my own home town where an off duty cop roughed up a restaurant worker because he was dis-satisfied with his freaking hamburger!! He is still employed AND CARRYING A GUN. The video that captured it was "inadmissable" as he "was a cop and didn't know he was being videoed" even though there are signs posted EVERYWHERE!! The public was also telling him there were cameras!! He threatened to hit me if I didn't sit down and shut up. I begged him to. If that would have been me.................I'd still be sitting in jail and the video most certainly would have been used!!! I stayed as a witness and the sheriffs depart. conviently "lost my statement and contact info". Can you say COVERING THEIR ASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Same situation!!!!! My tax dollars hard at work. I'm disgusted!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! At this point in time........................the last person I would call is a cop!! And these people are paid tax dollars to protect and serve? Seems to me the only ones they are protecting and serving are themselves!!!!!!!!!!! This beautiful woman deserves justice!!

jodie, I totally agree with you; the SD police department think we're little 6 year olds, gullible and ready to just take in every single lie they tell.

I've watched so many crime shows to know that bizarre cases of this nature usually take months/ years to solve, most times ended up as inconclusive. Now this brilliant group of detectives took only weeks to confirm it was a suicide, while hiding so much information from the public. Latest report was that Dina's twin sister Nina text RZ, wanting to meet her the night she died. What else next? Twins are usually very close, and I wouldn't be at all surprised that Dina wanted RZ dead.

Which "step mother" you know commit suicide over an accidental death of a child? Even parents don't do that over their biological children!

America is as corrupted as many countries like the Philipines and China; money just conveniently shut up people and stop them from doing what they are supposed to do. DISGUSTING!

If you look into this story at all you'll quickly find that none of the "facts" Law Enforcement used to substantiate the suicide determination hold up. Witnesses and evidence ignored or suppressed, none of the prime suspects alibis can be substantiated – press conference was an absolute FARCE with all of the incriminating signs of a murder conveniently left out so the public wouldn't question the suicide determination. Now someone is purposely miscommunicating with the media to mislead the public into thinking it's all on the up and up. If you live anywhere near Coronado or San Diego, CA – you should be very very scared.

It scares me to think if they can cover up this case, one day we or our loved ones could face the same music; get murdered by some high flyers, and never see justice!

I hope the public would pressure the higher authorities to seriously solve this murder; for RZ's and our sake!!!

I hope that Rebecca & her family get justice. This is definitely a brutal murder. I no longer have trust in SDPD. I am truly saddened by what has occurred and is occurring in this case. I do not want to believe that money can buy murder in this country but so far this is the case.

This is a murder not suicide. Good news the body is being exhumed for a second autopsy.
