Behind-the-scenes: Dr. Drew thanks viewers after one-year anniversary show

It was Wednesday of this week that marked the one-year anniversary of Dr. Drew’s show on HLN.

The good doc took a moment to address his viewers behind-the-scenes.

“I wanted to take second to thank you, the viewers, for supporting the show and watching us,” he said. “My goal is to do something good … something that helps … something that educates.”

He added, “I hope that you’ll engage with us online and continue to help us shape this program. I like the show to be as interactive as possible. We’re going to start dedicating entire shows to it. So come on along and be part of this.”

NFL cheerleader denies sex with student

•Cheerleader's mother, Cheryl Jones, faces single charge of tampering with evidence

A former NFL cheerleader is accused of sexually abusing a 16-year-old student at a Kentucky high school where she taught English.

What's making this case tricky is that the young boy's family doesn't want to press charges.

Woman charged with helping man commit suicide

Elizabeth Barrett, 66, has been charged with one count of the assisted suicide of Jack Koency, an 86-year-old World War II veteran.

Barrett is accused of giving Koency yogurt mixed with a lethal dose of Oxycontin.

HLN's Dr. Drew and his guests voice their opinions on the topic of assisted suicide.

Vermont couple accused of killing popular teacher

Allen and Patricia Prue are accused of killing 33-year-old science teacher Melissa Jenkins.

They have pleaded not guilty to second-degree murder and to the unauthorized burial or removal of a dead body.
