Autism: Separating fact from fiction

April is "Autism Awareness Month".

It was just last week that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported that 1 in 88 children are affected by autism or some form of the disorder; a 23-percent increase since 2009.

Are these new numbers linked to a rise in the disorder or can they be attributed to a better diagnosis by the medical community?

HLN’s Dr. Drew and his guests discuss the issue.
